Equity, Justice, Safety and Opportunity for All

My vision for Santa Monica is one of equity, justice, safety and opportunity for all. With a focus on diversity, inclusion, and community engagement, l'm committed to creating positive change that reflects the needs and values of our residents. Additionally, I am committed to creating safe public spaces for all to enjoy, innovate and thrive.
Through my campaign, I aim to address key issues such as homelessness, affordable housing, access to quality education, safe and clean public spaces, and economic opportunity. I have unique insight into our city’s greatest challenge today: how to mitigate a regional, state and national homeless crises. I am equipped to tackle this issue, because I was once homeless myself and deeply understand the complexities and challenges before us. If we do not successfully mitigate this issue facing Santa Monica, non other initiatives, efforts or ideas can flourish.
Our first priority must be creating a safe and clean city that works for everyone. Without safe public spaces, everyone from the unhoused individual to the business owner is unable to work towards creating better lives for themselves and their families and a better city for all. Secondly, we must prioritize the beautiful culture of our city, which is dependent upon the city’s embrace of our community, both privileged and disadvantaged individuals. Lastly, we must innovate, realizing our greatest ideas come from collaborative and inclusive work with all.
